The Coaching Data system gives the club an entire Medical database section, which should cater for many of the daily tasks undertaken by a medical department.
Staff can add injuries on a standard injury form, but this can also be tailored to suit the individual club’s requirements. Adding an injury takes the format of a combination of drop down box options (part of body, mechanism of injury etc) and free text boxes (injury description, subjective and objective markers).
For each injury, it is possible to analyse everything else that went on with the player prior to the injury, giving the medical staff the option to scrutinize football training, fitness training etc. It is also possible to create annual reports and examine matches and training days missed due to injury.
The Treatments section allows staff to record how each injury is treated, and allows the head of the medical department to monitor the work of each member of their staff.
Drugs tests, referrals and referral reports can also be added, along with scans that come back from hospitals. Information from products such as Pacsmail can be included into the Coaching Data system.
A full audit trail is available, ensuring that any time an injury or treatment is added, changed or deleted, a full record of date/time/person is documented.
